Educators
Educators are required to be fit and proper persons according to the National Standards. They are required:
- Have or be enrolled in a Cert 3 Child Care or qualification recognised by www.acecqa.gov.au/qualifications/nqf-approved
- current first aid qualifications, including annual CPR,
- completed all relevant state and territory working with children checks
- demonstrated knowledge of early childhood practices and duty of care
- keep appropriate records including safety audits and programs for children
- maintain a safe environment
- undertake professional development each year
- Participate in professional development training and/or workshops
- Undertake PD via the internet
- Service Provider
- As service provider ECCS
- Employees your Educator on an Agreement to provide care for your family.
- Employ your educator at the hourly rate agreed
- Pay Superannuation
- Deduct and pay PAYG tax to the ATO
- Cover Public Liability Insurance
- Cover WorkCover Insurance
- Monitor your educator in the quality of work they provide your family
- Undertake reference checks
